Cost of wisdom

A small factory had to stop its operations when a machine broke down. Nobody could fix it, so an expert was called. He simply took a hammer and tapped the machine at a certain spot and immediately it began running again.

But when he submitted a bill for ten thousand rupees, the supervisor hit the roof. “Ten thousand for just tapping?”
“No,” said the man, “Re.1.00 for tapping and Rs.9999.00 for knowing where to tap!”

There it is; you can wear yourself out or you can ask God for wisdom and He’ll show you how to do the right thing, at the right time, for the right purpose. He knows where to tap! Just ask Him!

The biggest mistake we may do today is not asking for God’s wisdom but operating by our own wisdom. If we take time to seek God, we’d achieve an entirely different result. The closer we go to Him, the better will be our understanding of His wisdom.

But the wisdom that comes from heaven is first of all pure; then peace-loving, considerate, submissive, full of mercy and good fruit, impartial and sincere. James 3:7
